As promised, here are the extra charts you can use to practise drawing trend lines.
If you have read ALL ABOUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, you can print these blank charts. The web address to visit when you are done is on page 130 of your book. The page with answers can only be found from this web site if you type the address on page 130 into your browser's address line above.

SUGGESTION FROM A READER... and a Great Idea!

"I'm reading your book - and enjoying it, I must add. When I got to the section about the Trend Exercises on your web site (and then checked your web site) I noticed that you suggest simply printing the charts (and then working with them). Rather than do that I pasted them to PowerPoint slides, on which I can then add and delete trend lines at will, without permanently mucking up the underlying image." - Charles S. A.

These charts were all captured December 10, 2002 the day ALL ABOUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS was released by McGraw-Hill publishers. They will provide you with different levels of difficulty,
but all the charts will help you look for subtle pivots as well as major price pivot extremes.

You can draw trend lines on indicators too! Use this chart to try it.

(The last chart above is the weekly data for the Fidelity Magellan Fund)
